Massage in Albuquerque

What is massage?

Massage is the gentle rubbing, pressing & kneading of the skin, connective tissues and muscles with oil or lotion on the skin.

Massage is very relaxing.  It can heal many ailments without medication or anything fancy.  The powerful healing of touch is something massage therapists have the honor of witnessing each day with massage.

One form of massage therapy that is very relaxing is “Relaxation Massage”.  This form of massage therapy, also referred to as “Swedish Massage” is very relaxing and stress relieving.  Relaxation Massage is the best massage style to try for someone who has not had a massage before.

The pressure used in a Relaxation Massage is light to medium. This massage is also non-specific, meaning that attention is focused on relaxing the body as a whole without focusing on any problem areas.

At Athletic Touch, there are 3 different massage categories:

General Massage, Therapeutic Massage and Deep Tissue Massage, are all $160 per hour at Athletic Touch.

Ruth uses the modality that is needed for the current client, and often it is hard to guess which modality is best before the massage starts.

Aromatherapy is added with almost each massage treatment, unless the client does not like aromatherapy or is sensitive to smells.  Ruth also uses ice, heat pads, hot rocks, hot towels and special oils or lotions with no extra charge.

Instead of charging for “extras” Ruth just utilizes the many tools she has on hand to make the best massage treatment for each individual client.

Each are $160/hr:

                                           Relaxation Massage

                                           Therapeutic Massage

                                           Deep Massage
